In 1950, pure l theanine powder was first isolated from green tea .It is a special amino acid of tea,which is one of the flavor substances of tea. It was positively correlated with the quality of green tea, with the correlation coefficients ranging from 0.787 to 0.876. Among the more than 20 amino acids contained in tea, theanine accounts for 50% ~ 60% of the total amino acids in tea.
