The dry root of Angelica sinensis, a perennial herb, the whole plant has a specific aroma. The main root is thick and short, fat and fleshy, and is divided into many thick and long branch roots below. The dry root is about 10-25 cm in length, 3-10 cm in length, gray-brown or tan in appearance, with longitudinal wrinkles on the whole, slightly cylindrical in shape, and uneven in body, with 3-5 or more below it. Active ingredients of angelica extract: containing Ligustilide, n-butylidene phthalide, ferulic acid, niacin, sucrose and various amino acids, as well as sesquiterpenoids.
